Taken 19 August 2006 from Dublin - DUB to Agadir (Al Massira) - AGA
Our flight times were put back two hours "for operational reasons" some time before our holiday; on the day we were due to depart a delay of one hour was announced before we boarded. We then sat another hour while "paperwork" held us up. An hour or so into the flight the captain announced he wasn't happy with the craft and turned back to Shannon. After a long wait at Shannon (on board) we returned to Dublin - nearly six hours after we had taken off. The pilot said we would be flying out the next day at noon. The seats were cramped, there was no inflight meal, though we were offered a free drink at Shannon. On landing at Dublin staff told us the plane would now leave at 2200 and not noon - twenty-eight hours late. I've just phoned Eirjet to be told that's going to be at least half-an-hour later. We should be on holiday now and we are back home. The crew were embarrassed and furious with their employers, but I wonder if the "noon tomorrow" announcement was made to pacify passengers. |
