Taken 25 June 2006 from Montreal, QC (Dorval International Airport) - YUL to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) - CDG

This was my second trip with Zoom over the past 2 years and I was even more impressed this time. For one thing the plane was in much better condition than the one I flew two years ago with comfortable leather seats. The real selling point though is the price - we got an incredible price.. inluding all taxes it was 600 dollars per person.. we were 5 all together. This is cheap even in the wintertime, but in July all other airlines even Air Transat normally charge at least double that amount.

The food was OK.. but you do get wine.. its better than Air Transat and comparable to Air Canada.. but not as good as the much more expensive Air France or British Airways. The crew were very professional.. very concerned about safety.. checking that everyone was well attached. The flight left right on time and actually arrived an hour early.. the flight was right on time on the way back. Moves were pretty horrible on both flights.. perhaps they could find something more intelligent than Big Momma's House. The seat pitch is great.. much better than the cramped Air Transat.. comparable to Air Canada.

One complaint.. I wish they would let people sleep on the overnight flights instead of wasting our time at 3 in the morning to listen to their pitch about buying duty free products. As well I was a bit shocked that some of the flight attendants did not speak a word of French. This was a flight from Montreal to Paris with a majoirty of francophones on board. My francophone wife was not impressed and I don't blame her.
