Home > EasyJet > 2006 > ReviewTaken 18 October 2006 from Bristol, England (Lulsgate) - BRS to Newcastle - NCLGreat value at just under £20, including tax, for Bristol/Newcastle/Bristol – bought in an easyJet sale. The Boeing 737-700 left Bristol late (they have taxiway restrictions currently for work in progress) but arrived at Newcastle on time. It was the first flight of the day to Newcastle, on a Wednesday morning, with 124 passengers (overheard a cabin crew member mention this to a colleague). The security queue at Bristol Airport seemed horrendous, but in the event took only twenty minutes to negotiate. It seems over a quarter of the hundred-odd daily departures from Bristol leave in the period between 6am and 9am. The flight was short, around forty-five minutes, and the cabin staff seemed efficient and pleasant. We had a brief introduction from the captain and an en-route report (also brief) from the first officer. I found the aircraft comfortable, but did not buy any on board item. The return to Bristol the same evening on the last Newcastle/Bristol flight of the day on another Boeing 737-700 was very similar to the outbound, although the aircraft was not quite so full. We landed fifteen minutes early after another forty-five minute sector and I was home within forty minutes of landing – one of the advantages of using a local airport. | ||
