Taken July 2005 from London (Stansted) - STN to Kos, Kos Island - KGS
I used Air Scandic in July 2005, where I visited Kos. We were due a reasonably early flight, around 10 in the morning, but did not leave the airport until 5 in the evening. The overall impression we got from Air Scandic is that they didn't care at all for their customers. There were no representatives from the Airline present at the airport which was no help at all. Having such a delayed flight meant that we practicaly missed out on one night of our stay. Had we arrived on time, we could have got into Kos at around mid-afternoon, and had the evening to settle down and perhaps go out. Instead, we arrived in our apartment at nearly midnight, so one evening was already wasted. As for the flight itself, the plane seemed very old and needed a bit of a revamp. As far as I can remember there were only 3 or 4 hostesses which meant at meal time, passengers at the front of the plane would finish their meal before passengers at the back had even got theirs. Luckily on the journey home, we encountered a delay of only 1 hour which we thought was good for this airline. Overall I would definately not recommend this airline to anyone, although I hear from other comments that Air Scandic has since gone bust which doesn't at all surprise me! |
