Home > British Midland > 2001 > ReviewTaken May 2001 from Manchester, England to Washington D.C.They were really was excellent! I'd flown with NMI before on short haul flights, but this was my first experience of their new longhaul flights to the US from Manchester. The aircraft was a brand new Airbus widebody jet, and the cabin was light and spacious. The seats were very comfortable and each had a personal TV with a wide selection of films and TV programmes as well as a 'skymap' (showing you where you were) and (best of all) live pictures from 2 cameras on the outside of the plane! The only reason I gave them 9 for comfort, was that there were as many seats in each row, as in economy, and I thought there could have been more room to the side. However the legroom was superb, as was the footstall on the chair and free amenity kit. The food was very good, and not at all typical of airline food! The cabin crew were polite and smiled a lot. The flight departed on time and arrived about 20 mins early. I read in their magazine that BMI hope to expand a lot with their long-haul flights, and I hope they do because they're an excellent airline that doesn't charge the normal ridiculous prices! | ||
