Home > Air Berlin > ReviewTaken 29 October 2006 from Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands - PMI to London (Stansted) - STNAir Berlin offer higher levels of service than other "no-frills" and "low-cost" carriers in Europe. However, do not be deceived by seeing this said everywhere. Service could be better, but it's acceptable. Cabin Crew, although often distracted while serving are quite pleasant, and it is nice to receive a free cold drink and some tea. Food is very basic, a sandwhich, and everything alchoholic or any other food must be paid for. In-Flight Entertainment isn't bad, but is not really watched by many. They play comedy and music videos. The airline is better than Easyjet, Ryanair etc. but do not offer same standards of service as those such as First Choice, My Travel or British Airways. Receiving a hot meal makes a difference in early morning 2.5 hour flights. Cabin crew which smile and are polite at the same time are good as well. Air Berlin has a rather dull atmosphere onboard. Dark cabin and seats, cabin crew polite, but distracted and don't really smile, limited drinks and poor cheap food. They are superior to some, but in general, preferences go to British Airways in Europe, but also First Choice, Thomson and My Travel offer very good in-flight products for European flights. I will fly Air Berlin again, but the airline lacks that spark of excitement and fun which others may give. | ||
