Malan) - CPT to Johannesburg (Jan Smuts Airport) - JNBSouth African Airways continues to offer standards of service excellence combined with in-flight product far beyond it's competitiors. Flying on the Daily SA314 service to Johannesburg departing 0800, I was greeted and welcomed warmly onboard their new Airbus A319-100 aircraft of which 11 are currently being added to their domestic/regional fleet. After takeoff, fresh fruit juice and a full hot breakfast was served to all of us in Economy and it was excellent. In-flight Entertainment was more than substatial, and they came around to offer Tea and Coffee with the meal as well. Cabin crew smiled, were courteous and warm, and this made a huge difference. More drinks were offered after the meal, and before you knew it, we were smoothly touching down in Johannesburg OR Tango International Airport. SAA when flying in South Africa are the airline to fly, and their competitors (Kulula, Nationwide, 1Time, BA Comair) need to do a lot of work before they can meet the standards that SAA offer so well. The best thing is, half the time, SAA are cheaper to fly anyway! There is no real decision to make about which airline to fly domestically, SAA should be a definite choice! | ||
