Taken 28 October 2006 from Vancouver, BC (Vancouver International Airport) - YVR to Faro - FAO
We flew from Vancouver to Faro, Portugal via Frankfurt and returned from Lisbon again via Frankfurt. The outbound was a red eye and as I am 6ft 4in I am always concerned about the seat reclining in front of me. Thankfully, the gent in front of me never reclined so I was OK. The service was good, but the food obviously went to the lowest bidder as it was plain and average. The airline is very generous with liquor, providing a pre meal dring, wine with 2 refills and a cognac. All this will definitely make you sleep (perhaps that is their intent?). All flights were on time, the only negative being a 4 hour layover in Frankfurt outbound although the return only had 1 hour. Seats were tight and I was surprised that both trans Atlantic flights did not have TVs in the seats. Everyone had to watch the same 2 movies. Overall, however, the aim in air travel is to fly cheaply and on time so full marks to Lufthansa for achieving both. |
