The flight was about 12 hours late due to mechanical issues, which is a lot for a 1.5 hour flight. No back ups were available. Even worse was the total lack of good information available from the Alaska Airlines staff. Every time they gave us a new "target" time and other information, it turned out to be baseless. The staff demonstrated little interest in helping passengers identify alternatives or make good decisions. Otherwise the flight was average, although the baggage delivery time was very, very slow. Five days later on my next leg to Seattle, the same thing happened. Last minute notification of a mechanical delay with no reliable information and little interest in providing any assistance. Calling the 800 number was even worse; they would only talk about extra charges if they provided any sort of assistance. | ||
