When our tickets arrived I saw we were to fly with Fly jet. I have never heard of the company before and done a little research on them, on the Internet, only to be dissapointed to find that they fly all around the world and only have three planes, they are also renowned for delays, which when I looked on Newcastle site which gives you an overall look at flight delays, Fly jet was the one with the most delays. We were to fly at 12noon and check in 3 hours before hand, we arrived at check in at 8.50am only to be told that already there was a 4 hour delay, not good. Fly jet gave us a £5 food voucher, which did not even cover the cost of our breakfast. We eventually set off after a 6 hour delay on a plane that had been brought in from Lisbone (not fly jet). The only good thing was with the plane been a bigger one our flight took 4hrs 20mins instead of 5hrs 25mins, but we missed to see the new year in our hotel and landed at Sharm airport at 12.25am. Very dissapointed as we missed our gala meal at our hotel. On our departure, Fly jet were on time, when we got on the plane we thought "great, least we have inflight entertainment". Which we didn't on the way over. We asked for earphones only to be told that they had forgot to pack them on board, so you could watch the telly, but not hear it, so what was the point in that. We have a 5yr old that was cold and wanted to go to sleep, so we asked for a blanket, only to be told there was none left. It took the cabin crew 2 hours to get to us with drinks which is not good at all. The cabin crew looked as sick as the passengers and when we finally landed nearly after a 6hr flight we had to wait for the bus to take us over to the airport. On our wait my husband was saying about his flight from Iraq and that it was Fly jet who done the connection from Oman and that there was a 2hr delay there too, one of the cabin crew was very abrupt with us and when I told him I did not like his attitude the cheek I got back from him was unbeliveable. That will be another complaint put into Fly jet form us to!! Never ever will I fly with this company again, and I don't think anybody on our flight would either. | ||
