Taken December 2006 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Mauritius (Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam) - MRU

This flight to Mauritius was an Air Mauritius code share, but operated on Air Seychelles' Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Flight was on time and cabin interior comfortable with paintings of Seychelles views in the cabin. The professional cabin crew did the safety demonstration manually and announcements were only in English although they said the crew spoke English, French and Creole.

Service was pretty good and a menu was provided. Dinner was a choice of three entrees - Salad Nicoise with Tuna, Lamb Curry "Silhouette" with basmati rice and green peas or Grilled Hake in Creole Sauce served with saffron rice and buttered spinach.

Very surprised and disappointed that they do not serve the national Seychelles beer seybrew though.

Cabin crew on Air Seychelles are very friendly, but not always quick to respond to requests.

Before landing, breakfast was served consisting of Grilled Chicken Sausage, Herbed Omelette, Saute mushrooms and Grilled Tomato and Lyonnaise Potatoes. Pretty good!

Had one hour in the very small Seychelles airport before the 2.5 hour flight onto Mauritius. Exactly the same plane and same seat, but a new crew. A cold chicken meal was served (or you could choose fish). Drinks were again plentiful, but no blankets/pillows on this Indian Ocean flight sector.

Only downside was no in seat TV entertainment, but that should all change when Air Seychelles get their Boeing 787's. Pearl Business class seats also looked of lower quality when compared to rival airlines. The air conditioning was also pretty intense in the cabin! All in all, I was very impressed by the service of one of the world's smallest international airlines. And you get Air Mauritius kestrelflyer points too!
