Home > Astraeus > ReviewTaken 25 January 2007 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to Sal, Sal (Amilcar Cabral) - SIDThis airline was an unknown quantity to me and this was a scheduled service. Planes out and back were Boeing 757s with the interiors in decent condition. Outward plane left 30 minutes late, but arrived more or less on time. Return flight was one hour late leaving due to a late departure from Gatwick caused by snow - not the airline's fault. Flew Star Class which is Premium Economy in a two class plane. Seat were three each side of the aisle, but I requested aisle seats adjacent on both legs and got them. Check in was very quick at Gatwick, but slow at Sal for the return. Service from the FAs was good on the way out and excellent on the way back. The meals were adequate to good and there was a lavish service of wine and spirits. On the return leg, I do not think I have ever seen such attentive service from FAs even when travelling Business on good airlines. They did not let up once in a flight of just over five hours and served with genuine friendliness. This has been my only experience with Astraeus and it was a good one. IFE was overhead screens which is disappointing, but we took plenty to read. | ||
