Taken 8 September 2006 from Newark, NJ (Newark International Airport) - EWR to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) - CDG
Air India is a true budget airline. We purchased our tickets with hotel on the internet. We did not really give much thought to the airline as we were more focused on cost. The seats are far too close together and are in need of repair. My seat back would not stay in the upright position. It flung backward into the reclining position at take-off. The armrest was missing screws and would not stay in place abd the seat cushion was torn and very soiled. I pointed these aspects out to a flight attendant. However, she did appear concerned or to have taken any action to report the condition of the seat. I think the worst part of travel on this airline is the passengers. Children galore! The kids are screaming at all times. They are even running up and down the isles. There was one child that was running around and came to me (I was in an isle seat) and started slapping my leg. This woke me from my sleep... and it was not easy to fall into a state of sleep. There was a mother and child sitting in the seats directly in front my wife and I. The mother tossed her child's dirty diapers under her seat... onto my feet... twice. There was a man who took off his shirt and walked around the plane holding his naked son. Flying Air India was a very bizarre experience. I would never recommend this airline to anyone. Fly any other airline if it is possible. |
