Taken 1 February 2002 from San Francisco, CA (San Francisco International Airport) - SFO to Moscow (Moskva), Moscow (Sheremetyevo 2) - SVO

Outbound flight was late by nearly four hours, return flight by almost two. Seems to be a chronic problem.

Seats and aisles were cramped to the point of pain -- especially bad on such a long flight.

Planes were always full to capacity.

Attendants were curt and didn't volunteer help, though they were responsive if asked something.

Food was passable.

Pilots fly like they're in a fighter -- maneuvers/landings/takeoffs are generally hard and fast.

Staff gives no clue about where you're to go or what you're to do next; this lack of guidance caused my luggage to be left behind in Seattle on return flight. When it was finally returned to SFO, they required it to be picked up rather than delivering it.

I could have made the same trip with one of two *decent* airlines for only $100 more each way, but I cheaped out. Never again.
