Taken 6 February 2007 from Bristol, England (Lulsgate) - BRS to Newcastle - NCL

Flight should have left Bristol at 0825 but a combination of the inbound arriving late, a miscount of passengers on board and an unserviceable APU meant we did not get to Newcastle until nearly 11.00, almost ninety minutes late.

The Boeing 737-700 was fine for such a short flight (around 45 minutes aloft) which was also too brief to judge the efficacy of the crew. They seemed pleasant enough.

The return that evening was also over 45 minutes behind schedule on arrival in the West Country shortly before 22.00.

That Boeing 737-700 had no seat cushions on the last window seat on the starboard side, with the metal framework in full view. Good job the aircraft was not full.

These sorts of flights are really like using a bus service and I cannot complain about the product, given the fairly low fare and no great expectation anyway, other than to reach the destination safely and reasonably on schedule.

There are four daily easyJet flights each way between Bristol and Newcastle which is a great convenience, so long as there are not too many delays!
