Home > Eirjet > ReviewTaken January 2006 from Kingston (Norman Manley) - KIN to New York, NY (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - JFKWell having seen eirjets birth and demise, I am sorry to see them go. I flew with them early last year to kingston jamaica when they were operating for jamaica. Flew home with jamaica and service wasn't as good. OK I am irish, but the crew were a laugh. good humored and pleasant. when they discovered I was irish - then the fun started. Great bunch to fly with, although the aircraft could have been a little better presented, but saying that air jamaicas was nit much better - eirjets aircraft are ex air jamaica and entered service straight away. Now I read some reviews, I would like to comment on. 1.charter airlines don't make the food - not airlines fault if food is garbage. 2.aircrafts break down creating delays. 3.crew go sick resulting in delays. 4.crew have to be alert - so they have limits to the hours they can fly. 5.to hire another aircraft in the summer is hard as at last minute aircrafts are nowhere nearby. 6.airlines cannot predict if there aircrafts will be OK to fly the next day - if a certain bulb is blown the aircraft has to be grounded and a part ordered. Airlines don't delay aircraft "for the craic" All of the above result in delays and unfortunatly these cannot be avoided. | ||
