Taken 10 March 2007 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to Sanford, FL (Central Florida Regional Airport) - SFB

Since I regularly fly scheduled airlines to the USA I was a little apprehensive flying such a long way with a charter/low-cost airline. Thomsonfly exceeded my expectations in every way so I will definitely consider it again.

The flights were punctual and hassle free and at the cost of £208 per person were a bargain.

Check-in at Gatwick was busy, being a Saturday morning, but we still only waited about 15 minutes and were then processed quickly and efficiently. On the return we checked-in at Sanford exactly 2 hours prior to departure and there was no queue at all, just the smiling staff eagerly waiting to check us in.

The aircraft each way was a Boeing 767-200 with 262 economy seats (in a 2/4/2 configuration) and no premium class. The leather seats were comfortable enough and the legroom perfectly acceptable.

On the outbound from Gatwick a hot lunch was served and just before arrival into Sanford an afternoon tea was served. On the return it was a hot dinner and then a cold breakfast prior to landing back at Gatwick. I found the meals perfectly edible and especially enjoyed the chicken and vegetable cobbler on the return.

Drinks prices were in line with other airlines. A small tin of lemonade, for example, costs 70p.

The cabin crews were friendly both ways and worked hard to give a good service.

Overall I was most impressed and I cannot wait to try their new long haul product which launches in May 2007.
