Taken 2007 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Santiago de Chile

I had heard such bad reviews of Iberia, that I was not looking forward to the flights. We flew LHR to Madrid, then Madrid to Santiago De Chile. All flights were on time.

The flight to Santiago was 13 hours. There's more leg room on the Airbus than you get with BA or Virgin.

The food was hot and tasty, and the breakfast was fine. There was a full drinks service, and the galley was open all flight for any drinks you wanted or a small sandwich.

The cabin crew were all pleasant and spoke clear English. I was able to sleep on the flight. The onboard movie was OK, no seat back screen, but you don't always get that anyway on other airlines.

Our luggage arrived safe and sound in Chile.

All I can say is give Iberia a go, they are generally cheaper than other airlines for South America, and the service is good. I will fly with them again.
