Taken 31 March 2007 from Istanbul (Ataturk/Yesilkov International Airport) - IST to Athens (Athinai) (Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport) - ATH

I bought a full fare Y class ticket at the airport and it cost about EUR 100 which I found reasonable. Eventhough we were warned beforehand that since the incoming flight had already left there may not be enough meals onboard for everybody (i was with a party of 5) this did not materialize.

The flight was operated with a leased 737-300 (Spanish registration) and inside markings/ exit signs etc were in both English and Spanish. Safety cards were in Greek and English and these were the only items found in the seat pocket. No inflight magazine as is the case for all OA planes.

Capacity factor was pretty light in business class, but more than 90% in Economy. Seat pitch was satisfactory even for a longer flight than this one.

The inboard service consisted of a light snack (sandwich, wrap and a dessert) a drink of choice including all alcoholic beverages, followed by coffee or tea. These were served very efficiently by the flight attendants. A very cheerful pilot gave us a thorough briefing which started during taxiing and was completed during the take-off roll!

Flight left 20 minutes late, but arrived in time due to the favourable winds. Smooth flight and a silk-smooth landing wrapped-up a nice flight experience.
