Flew with Monarch Scheduled not really knowing what to expect as I hadn't flown with them for a few years and that was as a charter service. Aircraft used on both flights were A321's and were very clean. Aircraft departed right on schedule on both outbound and inbound flights.

Monarch schedule flights offer complimentary newspapers, inflight entertainment (with the exception of the return as no headphone sockets were fitted!) and also complimentary hot towels which is an excellent touch.

A buy on board bar service was offered and then shortly afterwards the meals which you can purchase. The prices for drinks, snacks and meals are very reasonable.

Excellent both ways, however the crew on both flights didn't come across as being very friendly or they just don't enjoy their job. The odd smile would have made the flight perfect and with a great service offered it's a shame this let them down.

Monarch are fantastic at what they offer for a low cost airline. Just wish the crew smiled more and were more customer focused.
