Taken 6 May 2007 from Orlando, FL (Orlando International Airport) - MCO to Denver, CO (Denver International Airport) - DVX

My flight from Orlando to Denver had a connection in Atlanta. At Orlando Airtrans was running so late that our plane could not physically pull into our gate, because they still had another AirTran flight sitting at that gate. Finally they moved gates, and we took off very late. Airtrans had booked me with a 35 minute connection in Atlanta. When I (and other passengers) asked about our tight connections we were told not to worry, AirTran would take care of us in Atlanta. What they didn't tell us was, AirTran wasn't going to wait for us. En Route, the flight attendant was too busy laughing and carrying on to properly give instructions over the loudspeaker. Then she was rude to me, shoving potato chips in my face, but not speaking to me. She was unprofessional. My flight touched down in Atlanta at 8:08, and my connecting flight, a few gates away, was due to leave at 8:10. They left without me anyway, and there were no more flights until morning, so I was stranded. They refused to book me on an available flight for another airline so I wouldn't lose my job. They sent me down to get my luggage from their service center, but when I got their, the clerks there were rude and told me they didn't have someone whose job it was to go get my luggage from their "transfer point lockup" because it was a "courtesy" for them to get my bags for me. They further said it might be 3-4 hours or maybe even half the night, refused to call and let me know when the bag came up, so that I could go get some sleep. They said that if I didn't stand at the carousel the entire time, they would take my bags back within 3 minutes of bringing it up. When I didn't agree to that, she shoved my claim ticket back at me rudely. One would have thought they could have told me what the deal was before I went down there and stood in line. Bad marks for putting me and many others through a terrible time, when communication, a little follow-through and organization, and a little patience on their part could have had me on the plane to Denver. Bad marks also, for treating a Business Class traveler with such rudeness. If I had said or done anything offensive, perhaps it would have been a little easier to understand. But I was just sitting there. It made me wonder about the caliber of people they hire.
