Booked a short break on the Costa Blanca, easyJet offered the cheapest fares for the dates we needed. Check-in at Newcastle was lengthy due to the fact it was a multi flight check-in and many different flights were checking in at the same time. As each flight came to the end of its check-in time they then shouted for passengers to come to the front before they lost thier seats. It took about 45 Minutes for our bags to be checked in. If it was an individual flight check-in I think it would be easier and would not impact on the waiting times of other passengers. Security queues were long also, but all the scanner machines were manned so it did not take too long to get through.

The wait for the flight is boring unless you can afford Newcastle airport food and drink prices. Our flight had 4 minutes left on the screen before the gate was announced, then it went up to 25 minutes, then after 20 minutes it went back to 20 minutes wait then got stuck for about half an hour on 3 minutes, really annoying. Why could they not just be truthful and say its going to be and hour.

At the boarding gate everyone just stood around whilst the gate agents told them to sit down it was not ready to be boarded. Eventually most got it and sat down. Speedy boarders got boarded first, then families with young children, but still passengers in boarding group D were trying to get on. Its farcical. We then waited on a coach for 15 minutes not going anywhere. Finally boarding the plane we got seats together after the usual stampede.

Crew were efficient and made sure a group of rowdy lads did not get the better of them. The Service on board consisted of a pay for everything bar. Hot Pizza was available for £3 but these are in short supply so go to Greggs and buy your own food and take it with you. Otherwise on the drink front they had an abundance of drinks, though they were trialing some disgusting bags- yes mini bags of Gin, Whiskey and Vodka - can't see them lasting.

Cheap and cheerful. I would definitely fly with easyJet again. They may be low cost, but the crew are efficient and friendly.
