Home > Aer Lingus > 2007 > ReviewTaken 13 May 2007 from London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR to Shannon, Ireland - SNNFlight EI 383 London to Shannon on an Airbus 320. Flight was booked a month in advance and was excellent value at £70. Arrived at the Aer Lingus check in area 3 hours prior to departure, to see that it was all self check in, which was fantastic as you can check in straight away, choose your seat and then drop your bag. I have travelled this route multiple times, and have been frustrated when you can’t check in early, and have to wait around in the check in area. Flight was boarded on time, however there were delays to all flights due to congestion at Heathrow, which is nothing new, but the captain kept us informed at all stages of what was happening. After 30 minutes we departed. The plane was almost full, but the seat next to me was free. The seat was the standard leather seat, which is okay for short journeys. Soon after departure, the crew started the Sky Café. I find Aer Lingus prices to be reasonable compared to other low cost carriers, and the crew were kept very busy throughout the flight, but remained friendly and helpful. Flight was uneventful and very smooth; landing in Shannon was only 30 minutes behind schedule. Baggage arrived the quickest I have ever seen, the bags were arriving when I reached the baggage hall. Literally 7 minutes after arriving at the gate, I was on my way home. Overall, a very good experience with Aer Lingus, and a very reasonable price. | ||
