I flew from Barcelona to Palma Mallorca and there was a delay of 2 hours which was understandable as there was a strike that day. However, I received an SMS to the effect that my return flight would be 4 hours later than the time given and there was no apology or explanation. My repeated calls to the number given in the message did not meet with any result. That flight was itself delayed an hour and to top things off my luggage did not arrive. It is now the third day since I have been back and no sign of it. Repeated calls to Baggage Services assure me my luggage is in Barcelona, but no one can tell me why it cannot be delivered. It seems they had noted down an erroneous address. I find the staff unhelpful and they will allow me to speak to any supervisor or manager. When I tried to call the main Spanair number they hung up on me when I insisted I wanted to make a verbal complaint. I have flown many times with many different international air carriers and of course I can understand sometimes luggage can get mislaid, but I have never had to wait so long nor have I been treated in such a way. Never will I fly with this airline again. I would rather pay more.
