Home > Northwest > 2007 > ReviewTaken 15 July 2007 from Portland, OR (Portland International Airport) - PDX to Detroit, MI (Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport) - DTWI flew from Portland with a stop in Minneapolis for a connecting flight. My plane departed just after 6AM, and I arrived at 4AM to find Northwest's ticket counter did not open until 5AM (all other airlines were open) and had to wait so I could check my luggage. The plane in Minneapolis was delayed a half hour as the plane picked up a nail in the tire while landing, not the airline's fault. On my return, the plane was delayed a long time in Detroit. Sat at the gate at least a half hour, then another 15-20 minutes on the runway, as there were about 40 planes all departing at once. After we were airborne, the flight attendant on this flight was rather rude, and refused to leave a full can of pop as they did on other flights, and would only fill the cup 2/3 full, claiming they did not have enough pop to fill the cup any more. Once I arrived in Minneapolis I barely had fifteen minutes to catch my connecting flight to Portland. Northwest, like many airlines, has become a victim of cost-cutting. No movies available, no in-flight audio even though the seats did have headphone jacks, and not even a complimentary bag of peanuts was offered on any flight. The planes also seemed dirtier than normal. In the past I have flown Northwest, and they certainly have gone downhill. I might choose another airline next time, | ||
