Great being fast tracked through security and within 10 minutes of checking in were were in the lounge. The lounge was busy and a tad noisy as quite a few kids in there, but we made use of the facilities and got a couple of glasses of champagne to start off our holiday. The GB A320 looked clean and tidy. The purser came round and shook hands with everyone in business class. We were offered a morning newspaper. The flight took off an hour late with no real explanation other than it had arrived late, but we had been on board for 45 minutes when it eventually pushed back. The service on board was excellent. Lots of drinks and a very nice fresh hot tasty meal and with a choice of main courses. We landed in ALC 1 hour late. Unfortunately, I left my phone on the plane and when someone went to get it for me, it had gone! On the return sector, the check on queue was long, but we were sent straight to the front as we were in Club. The lounge in Alicante is nice although not up to BA standards, but nevertheless was much more pleasant than sitting in Burger King! Boarded on time, but left about 10 minutes late as it was a coaching gate. The inflight service was again excellent. Plenty of drinks, very nice food and an excellent crew. The crew of GB really do show up their mainline colleagues who could learn something from their very high customer service. One little gripe - GB still use plastic cutlery were as BA use metal. However, the last time I flew Club Europe on BA mainline from Gatwick, there was no choice of food. You got what you were given. Well done GB. 2 very pleasant flights. | ||
