Check-in was somewhat long in Brussels because of a problem with a passenger's ticket. Once I arrived at the desk, I had my boarding pass within minutes and was on my way for the long walk to Gate A51.

Security was backed up approximately 25 feet from the desk---there were only 2 lines.

I had time to visit the lounge used by Austrian and several other airlines boarding going to the gate. Not much food at 6:15 a.m., but all in all a nice lounge.

Boarding was a cattle call. One announcement and everyone jumped in line to board. Once the flight took off, we were served an excellent breakfast, complete with fresh fruit, omelette and tea. Landing in Vienna was 15 minutes. early, which allowed for a quick stop in the lounge near gate A4.

Boarding for the trans Atlantic flight was the same as in Brussels. However, the service on this Boeing 777 was over the top. Excellent food, wine, entertainment, and a fantastic cabin crew. Arrive 10 minutes. late in Washington. By the time I got through immigration, my bag was coming off the belt and I was on my way home.
