Home > Jet Airways > ReviewTaken 16 August 2007 from Bombay (Sahar (Santa Cruz) International Airport) - BOM to Newark, NJ (Newark International Airport) - EWRTHANK YOU JET AIRWAYS. What a refreshing change. Flew Jet on their new flight Bom-Brussels-Newark and return. J class. Fanstastic is the only word. No other airline flying out west even compares. Details: Check In: Smooth, but a bit slow. This was same everywhere. I guess the staff was getting used to the new software or something. But nothing to complain. Alto they should have baggage helper for J/F class. Lounge: As usual at Bombay airport everyone shares the same overcrowded lounge. At Brussels they use the BA lounge. Jet lounge is under construction. The problem is at Newark. They have tied up with Northwest lounge which is at a different gate section than from where the departure is. So if you want to use the lounge you need to pass thru security to ge to NW lounge. Then exit and pass thru another security to get to the flight gate. This was quite strange. Seat: Absolutely fanstastic. Complete flat bed. Seats in business are in herring bone format so each seat has aisle access. Wide and a long pitch. When you want to sleep the crew will put up a matress and give an extra pillow. You can easily sleep sideways. One of the best business class seats around. Service: Now this is truly world class. I have never met a crew that is so eager to please. The crew (I went thru 4 sets of crew) always had a smile on their face. It looked like they truly care about the customer and want to delight you. I cannot say enough good things about them. A small example. On my Newark-Brussels sector I wanted ice cream and it was completely frozen. Obviously I could not eat it. On Bru-Bom sector at dinner time the hostess got me a perfect ice cream, same flavor, stating that they had a message from the earlier crew that I liked ice cream. Is this service or what?? Food: The only airlines that serves Dom Perignon in business class. Wines are also world class. Only they need to improve their malt collection. Food is excellent 2 entrees, one continental and one indian in both vegetarian and non vegetarian selection. I fly international 6-7 times a year and this is the only time I have eaten properly. Very good food. In Flight Entertainment: This is their weak link. While its VOD the selection is very limited. Maybe a total of 50-60 movies in all languages. They need to improve this one. Overall: If you want to spend the money that you are on business class, fly Jet. Its business class is better than most first class. | ||
