Taken 6 September 2007 from Garulhos, SP - QCV to Johannesburg (Jan Smuts Airport) - JNB

Both flights departed and arrived relatively on time (not more than 30 minutes of difference on an almost 10 hour flight).

Seat space is adequate (Airbus 340-200).

Lack of individual video screens is an inconvenience. As it's difficult for me to sleep during the flight, I try to watch at least one movie, and without the individual screen it's impossible to choose a particular movie.

Outstanding flight attendants on every respect. Their attitude was excellent. I bought an article from the Duty Free on board shop, and changed my mind afterwards. The flight attendant was absolutely courteous, gave me the refund ticket at once, and with utmost patience waited for me to decide on a different article.

Food is a little above average, though nothing outstanding. Upon departure, food choices were announced along with the recommendation that I the two available choices were not of the liking to some passengers, to ask the crew for other options. It was also specifically said that beverages were available at all times during the flight, something that is true of other companies, but not stressed during the flight.

All told, I emphatically recommend South African Airways for this trip.
