Taken 22 September 2007 from Taipei (Chiang Kai Shek) - TPE to ICN (Seoul-Incheon International Airport)

This was my return flight on a code-share with China Airlines. I have already written my previous comment with my experience on China Airlines with the outbound date of September 22nd.

I think that when it comes to food and IFE, China Airlines is a lot better than Korean Air, and even compared with other competitors like Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways or Asiana Airlines. When it comes to food and IFE, China Airlines beat all of them. China Airlines has much tastier food; they serve warm bread. Yes, all of the other carriers I listed do serve warm bread too, except for Korean Air and Cathay Pacific. What is up with that?

Also on this route, China Airlines serve red and white wines among other alcohol, but Korean Air only serves three beer selections and that's it!!! Hite, Cass, and Budweiser.

Based on my experiences with China Airlines, on all flights long or short, they have on demand IFE and the best and latest choices, too. Their screens are of much better quality. Korean Air and on some Asiana shorter flights, they don't have anything. Just one big screen and like 2 small screens in the center, and nothing on the two sides of the plane. Cathay Pacific and Thai Airways do have IFE, but very poor choices, poor screen and sound quality, and they are not on demand, but the old loop system. Yet, the service on Korean Air is still pretty good and the planes are quite clean and looks very new. Yet, I think that if I can, I will have to choose China Airlines when it comes to the shorter flights. You really do need high quality on demand IFE to help you pass the time and better enjoy the flights, and some good alcohol choices.
