Taken 24 September 2007 from Thessaloniki (Saloniki) (Mikra) - SKG to Muenchen (Munchen,Munich) (Franz Josef Strauss) - MUC
I flew with Aegean Airlines from Thessaloniki to Munich in September 2007. The trip has been a quite pleasant one. The plane was a 737-400, quite clean, leather seated, but with no entertainment support; not even music! Anyway it was a 2 hour flight, so it didn't really matter. The flight departed from Thessaloniki in the morning at 7.55; at 9.10 I was served breakfast on board, consisting of scrambled eggs with mushrooms, a muffin, butter, marmalade, nutela, and coffee/milk/ orange juice. All handsomely served by the air-hostesses. At Franz Josef airport I collected my luggage and moved to my hotel. The return part of the trip was a few days later on the 10.20 Munich to Thessaloniki flight. We had a 15 min departure delay, but arrived on schedule. Quite a lot of turbulence near the Alps, and the plane was still a quite new Boeing 737-400. This time we were served a light meal consisting o boiled rice, dressed with a tomato sauce and meat loafs. Also butter and nuggatina muffin and a carrot salad was included in the meal. Decent overall. Disembarkation went smoothly in Thessaloniki. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would go for it again. The price I was quoted was 291 euro for the return trip, although one might get a better quote with advance planning. |
