My first experience with Aerolineas was a trip from Aeroparque to Salta, a mid-length domestic flight (2.5hs). Upon arrival to the airport, the signboards immediately notified me immediately after check-in that the flight was to be delay 4hs (from 18.30 to 22.30). The check-in procedure was easy, but Aeroparque (bless its soul) is not the place to be confined for such a time. At least they offered meal vouchers that were more than sufficient to cover a good meal in the airport's newly remodeled food court. After about 3 1/2hs pass, there is no boarding call. The plan did not end up departing for another 2hs, without any announcement from staff or crew. I ended up in Salta at about 3AM as opposed to 9PM, which in my circumstances deprived me of little more than my sleep, but for other people travelling to further places could have caused serious problem. The planes were fine, but the delay was pretty stark, and I noticed most of the other flights out of Aeroparque (90% of which are Aerolineas) were in similar situations. Further experience with the airline has shown that this is not exceptional. For domestic travel there is no other option other than long, but comfortable buses, so I would recommend Aerolineas only if the bus distance from where you are to where you want to go is long enough so that the obligatory 2-5hr Aerolineas delay does not make the two time spans comprable.

P.S. Union issues have led to a drastic cutback in itineraries for the remainer of 2007, so perhaps delays at least will be better.
