Taken 13 December 2007 from Alesund (Aalesund) (Vigra) - AES to Oslo (Gardermoen) - GEN

This was a short 50 minute flight that would be the start of a journey to take us back to the US.

Aalesund airport is located on an island just outside the city, and my son and I enjoyed the view of beautiful scenery while on the airport shuttle.

Check in was quick and friendly (with passes printed off all the way to the US), and boarding started just as scheduled. We had to walk outside to get to the aircraft, and we boarded through the rear door.

Two smiling attendants greeted us at the door, and luckily, we had the last row of seats just to ourselves. One of the cabin crew, who noticed that my son had a camera, informed him that the A-380 was parked in OSL for testing. He was able to get some unique pictures of this giant aircraft while we landed.

Domestic flights in Norway have buy-on-board. My coffee was free even though it was supposed to be charged for according to the menu. To waive the charge seemed to go with the friendly and casual attitude on board this flight that morning.

It was a very pleasant experience indeed to be on this flight.
