The flights from Bellingham to Las Vegas are geared towards Canadians from the Vancouver area and this flight according to the fellow at security checking passports, had 95% of them on board. Check in was swift with a a very pleasant young man cracking jokes. It took less than 10 minutes from the time we entered the line-up until we were checked in.

As there are not very many flights from Bellingham, security only opened and hour and half prior to the flight. The officials were all very pleasant and polite, which was unexpected from comments we had previously heard. Although we did have to remove our shoes, belts and outer wear the process was very fast.

The plane we were to be taking was late arriving so all passengers were in the boarding area for longer than expected with no explanation from Allegiant. We were able to watch it land so then knew how much longer we would have to wait. We finally started boarding 45 minutes late and the same pleasant young man who checked us in also took care of the boarding. He also came on board once the plane was loaded and recognized us and again was very friendly and made a few comments to us personally.

The seat pitch is better than average for a U.S. carrier and the leather seats are very comfortable. We were able to make up some time so landed only slightly behind schedule. The flight attendants sell a variety of products, but we had brought our own soft drinks and sandwiches. They offered us drink cups with ice at no charge.

Overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable flight.
