Taken 15 January 2008 from Singapore (Changi International Airport) - SIN to Zurich (Zurich-Kloten) - ZRH

On the surface the Swiss longhaul Business product looks good, but don't let appearence's deceive. The seats are very uncomfortable, the hardest of any plane I have attempted to sleep on. Food is OK and the IFE is average.

But that is not the reason you should avoid Swiss longhaul, actually the hard uncomfortable seats will seem pleasent after you encounter the staff.

I don't know who trains the Swiss longhaul staff, but I do know they get paid too much for it, they are shocking.

If your flying to Asia, my suggestion, do it on an Asian carrier, you will get more for your dollars.

I say the longhaul staff, as I travelled on from Zurich shorthaul, and the girls were fantastic getting everybody fed and watered on a very short flight and with a smile on their face.

The ground staff in Zurich were also fantastic, as I volunteered to stand down and take a later flight and they insisted on giving me 100 euro for my trouble, and thanking me over and over.

So Swiss, yes, but not longhaul.
