Home > Olympic > ReviewTaken 21 April 2008 from New York, NY (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - JFK to Athens (Athinai) (Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport) - ATHMy family and I recently took a vacation to Greece. We flew Olympic because it is the national airline of Greece, and because they have the most non-stops from New York city to Athens. The seating in coach felt very cramped compared to recent transatlantic flights I have taken using other airlines. The reclining seats reclined a little too much for our liking. It felt like the person in front of me was in my lap. Another reviewer commented on the fact that the flight attendants never smiled, and did not appear to be very helpful. In fact, our flight attendants not only didn't smile, it appeared that they actually scowled at some passengers. When someone asked them for assistance with an overhead compartment, they appeared to throw up their hands and say, "Well what do you want from me." Very unhelpful and unwelcoming. However, on our flight back from Athens to New York, one flight attendant was very helpful. He was quick to offer assistance and seemed very kind. But he was the only person in our area who seemed to actually care about the passengers. Both flights arrived on time, a big plus in my book. The entertainment consoles on the back of each seat offered two fairly recent movies, but the video quality made it almost unwatchable. In the future, I will probably try to use another airline that offers non-stop service to Athens. | ||
