Taken 15 April 2008 from New York, NY (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - JFK to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) - CDG

Being a seventeen year-old high school student, I was nervous, as this was my first international flight, and I had only flown once before in my life.

Upon arriving to JFK in New York, check-in went smoothly, and the attendants were very generous with not charging people for being a kilo or two over the limit (which surprised me very much, as most domestic airlines charge for being even one pound over the weight limit).

Boarding went smoothly as well, but I made a mistake and sat in the wrong seat. The steward was very kind about it, though, and helped me find my proper seat on my boarding pass, which happened to be at the very back, on the tail of the plane, but I didn't complain.

The flight attendants were very courteous and kind, especially to those of us whose French wasn't so great. Announcements were made in both French and English.

Two meals were served to us: dinner and breakfast, as it was an overnight flight. The food was pretty good, and the seats were comfortable, with winged headrests. We were also given complementary packets of earphones, an eye-mask for sleeping, and a sanitary towlette.

All seats had a small, touch-pad screen with movies, music and games, which I found very fun; none of us were bored. I particularly enjoyed the camera that lets on see outside, and the flight in real-time. The seats reclined 118 degrees, enough for us to be comfortable.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service. My only complaint was the it was difficult for me to sleep in the seat because it didn't recline as much as I would have liked, but that was to be expected as it wasn't First Class.

I would definitely fly with Air France again, and would recommend Air France to anyone flying to France.
