Home > Fly Globespan > 2008 > ReviewTaken August 2008 from Tees Side - MME to Faro - FAOAt Durham Tees, there was no queue at check in so we just walked straight up to the desk and then proceeded to departures. The lounge is pleasant although could do with some minor renovations. Boarding was called, however passengers were stood on the steps for 10 minutes as the crew were not ready, seemed to have been miscommunication between the crew and the ground staff! Flight was uneventful and landed on time in Faro. Return was the same, only 10 minutes late. Captain made lots of announcements during the flight and the crew were friendly. Faro airport were still calling the airport "Teesside" rather than the pretentious new name. On arrival at Durham Tees, the doors were opened and we hat to sit on the aircraft for 10 minutes as there was another flight boarding on the ramp! Despite having lots of ground staff hanging around, they were incapable of organising simultaneous deplaning and boarding on the ramp! In the baggage claim, utter confusion as two flights had landed and despite having modern flat screens above the belts, they showed no flight information so you did not know which to use. Overall, globespan seem to have a good, reliable operation at Durham Tees. DTVA need to get there act together however as they do come across as being rather amateur! | ||
