Home > Air Transat > 2008 > ReviewTaken 30 September 2008 from Dublin - DUB to Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZRemember: this is a charter airline so some allowances need to be made. The Dublin departure was brought forward 3 hours. We were notified quite late the evening before departure - and from what I hear, this is becoming more common-place with TS. Some passengers were not happy as they lived a fair distance from Dublin Airport... One word of advice to all those contemplating using Transat: if you can, always pay the small supplement and get their premium economy product "Club", which offers approx 35" pitch, and a much better cabin service, as well as a passenger - flight attendant ratio of about 1:10, which is pretty cool. The food service is more than acceptable too. Those behind the curtain do not fair as well, but they increased seat pitch to 32" in their A310s and A330s, but the meal service is curry. That's it followed by a dry roll. The complaints we heard waiting to pass through Immigration and Customs were literally coming out of the mouths of all the economy passengers non-stop!! Luggage retrieval thanks to the Club service was fast, and we were on our way within 30 minutes of touchdown which is again pretty good. All in all, a good experience for the price paid - well below the mainline carriers out of London if you are comparing premium economy or full "J". | ||
