Flew Onur Air as part of a Package Holiday booked through Goldtrail.

Was a bit worried about their track record having read reviews on various sites, however in general I was more than impressed.

Firstly flights ontime both outbound and inbound which was most important to me. In fact arrived Gatwick 40 minutes early!

Both flights operated by Airbus 300-600 aircraft, outbound excellent 2-4-2 config throughout whole cabin with leather seating, however inbound just like Monarch's shameful 3-3-3 config, tatty uncomfortable seating, cramped and very dated aircraft this time with a washroom that should have had this aircraft grounded for health reasons as it was disgustingly filthy (thankfully only used the once).

Onboard drinks and snacks chargeable, same as most UK charter airlines; soft drinks 2 euros, pringles 3 euros, sandwiches 6 euros. Bar service very slow with just one cart from each side at the front working to the back serving 300+ passengers is not the way other airlines work, with all other crew pottering about doing nothing or sitting down, not the best.

No meal or IFE offered on this flight, but we knew this prior to travelling.

Duty free is exceptionally cheap on Onur Air! 400 Benson & Hedges cost me 29 euros! So don't waste your money at either the UK or Turkish airports as much cheaper on board.

I would use them again if I had to (and could guarantee a flight on the newer A321 which I would imagine is in better shape than their somewhat dated A300-600's. I would rather fly a UK charter if the price was right, but price was the deciding factor in this trip to Turkey.
