Home > Air Canada > 2008 > ReviewTaken October 2008 from Tokyo (Narita) - NRT to Edmonton, AB (Edmonton International Airport) - YEGThis was a return flight travelling through Vancouver. The long-haul was operated by an A330, with the old style seats, which were extremely uncomfortable and falling apart. There was no in-seat power for my laptop and the in-flight entertainment did not appear to have been update in the last two months (this was my third return on this route). On boarding the Vancouver to Edmonton flight I was downgraded to economy due to a lack of seats, despite having paid for a business class ticket! There was initially no explanation at the boarding except a curt "We've changed your seat, you've still got a window seat." The most frustrating aspect of the journey was that my baggage was not put on the Edmonton flight. I then waited two days for my luggage, being told each day by Air Canada that they had delivered it to my hotel. When I was getting no where with the Air Canada contact centre I mentioned it to the front desk of the hotel in conversation, who contacted the other hotels in the Edmonton area and located it! In conclusion, a very frustrating trip with Air Canada and I will be travelling with alternative carriers in future. | ||
