Home > Monarch > 2008 > ReviewTaken 2 November 2008 from Faro - FAO to London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGWI took a Monarch flight back from Faro Portugal to Gatwick. The plane was a 25 year old B757, but in very good condition. Seat pitch was ridiculously tight; I'm 5ft 10 and average build, didn't have to worry about the brace position because I could not have got into it if I tried. Crew were professional and attentive, and delivered the necessary drink and food. Think the co-pilot was Spanish or Portuguese; anyway not much info from the flight deck. The journey passed without incident, and the old plane delivered us safely to Gatwick. Cases were collected pretty quickly, so all in all I could not complain. But I would not want to travel longer than 2 and a half hours in that tight seat pitch, not only the leg room but the width! Obviously Monarch do not design their seats for 50 per cent of the population who fall into the mid size/large/obese category. Better go on a diet before I travel with Monarch again. | ||
