Flew out to the lesser-known Canary island of outstanding beauty, La Palma, on Thomson Airways in a B737-800. Said on tickets "meal not included" so ended up buying snacks, but later found meal was included. Landing was hard (I find this is usual with this type of aircraft) accentuated even more by the fact the runway is short and braking is swift.

Return flight on a much more comfortable, ex-First Choice A321 captained by pilot Claire, who did a sterling job in getting us effortlessly into LGW in spite of numerous cancellations with other airlines due to the snow. I would recommend the A321 over their B737-800s. Well done!
