However, United's schedule fit mine and so I flew them to and from Denver. I was very pleased. They provided excellent and friendly service and the flight to Denver was 25 minutes early which I thought was amazing. The flight from Denver was 10 minutes early. I bought my ticket long in advance and, although the flight times did not change, the size of the plane was different from what I expected on the Denver to DFW leg of the trip. It changed from a 120 passenger jet to a 66 passenger regional jet. Actually it was a comfortable plane so that proved not to be a problem. I do hate the $15 charge for checking luggage, but the only airline I know in the US that does not have such a charge is Southwest. I was amazed at how large United was at Denver. The gate for my Denver to DFW flight was Gate 91 which was about 30 minutes from once I checked through security to getting to the gate. You really need more than one hour from check-in to get to your gate if it is a long distance away I would certainly allow at least one hour 15 minutes or one and one half hours to get to the gate once arriving at the entrance to the airport. Overall, both flights were very good and United was friendly and efficient. | ||
