We needed a short trip to Mallorca, so scanned the web and found Ryanair was by far the cheapest.

Me and the wife traveled out on Easter Sunday. We had only cabin baggage and did the online check in for the trip out. We paid a total of £48 for us both.

The flight was called at 16.50 and we boarded at 17.00. We got the row with extra leg room on the over wing exit, despite not paying for priority boarding.

The flight took off 12 minutes early and had 156 people on board, so was quite full. We found the drinks and snacks were quite dear, but the cabin was very clean and the staff very nice and pleasant. We landed in Mallorca 15 minutes early after a very pleasant flight.

The return journey we did the same online check in, so went straight through security and then hit a obstacle. We were hungry, so wanted a Mcdonalds, but because we had to pass a security booth they would not let us through because our incoming flight had not been given a terminal. We had to wait about 30 minutes, then we got terminal C.

We paid £52 for both tickets home, and when gate 56 was put on the screens, we went to the gate and found a queue had formed already for boarding without even an aircraft being there. We were called for boarding at 17.30, and despite being way down the queue we got the extra leg room seats over the wing exits.

We took off, and again a nice clean aircraft with very pleasant cabin staff on the flight. We had the occasional slight turbulence, but nothing too much. We landed back in Liverpool 20 minutes early.

Two great flights, well worth the money we paid for them. Both journeys were aboard Boeing 737 800s.

The way with Ryanair is to work their system, pick the cheaper tax paid flights, and don't book any add ons.
