Taken 7 May 2009 from Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZ to Las Vegas, NV (McCarran International Airport) - LAS

After booking with Sunwing for a trip to Las Vegas, I can easily say I will never fly Sunwing again.

We booked a trip from Thursday May 7th to Sunday May 10th. Sunwing offered 1 outbound trip on Thursday (8:15am) and 2 times for the return trip. The first was a 5:40pm departure and the second was the red eye flight leaving @11:50pm. Because we needed to get to work the next day, we booked the 5:40pm flight. That flight was more expensive than the red eye.

On Saturday evening we got a message from Sunwing saying we had to depart on the red eye flight. There was no one available to talk to (which meant that we had to miss work on Monday, pay for an extra day hotel, and disrupt our vacation) We got to the airport around 10pm for our 11:50pm flight and was told that the flight was further delayed until 4am. For our trouble they gave us a $25 dinner voucher, but forgot that everything was closed at this time. The people at the counter said it was operational difficulties. What I know happened is that they simply merged the two return flights together to save money. We will be filling a complaint and possibly a law suit with their legal department.

NEVER FLY SUNWING if you need specific flight times.
