All in all, an excellent experience with KLM. I flew from MAN to AMS to connect with the DXB flight. Connecting at AMS is always a pleasure and this evening was no different; AMS is extremely easy to navigate and get around and although I'm a seasoned traveller, it's the kind of airport you'd recommend to someone who wasn't very comfortable travelling on their own.

The gate, E20, was easy to find and the boarding was efficient and friendly. On board, the 777 was clean and tidy; cabin crew were welcoming and the seating was in a 3-3-3 layout, unlike the 777 on my AF return flight, which was 2-5-2. The extra few inches makes a difference. The IFE was AVOD, which helps and in addition to excellent movies and tv shows, there was also some games, such as Tetris.

Takeoff was smooth and we were served a nice meal. Cabin crew were at all times friendly and helpful. Our arrival into DXB was a few minutes ahead of schedule and a fine, smooth landing was made, on 12L.

All in all, an excellent experience; one would have to be quite picky to find fault with KLM's service and I'd choose KLM again in an instant.
