Home > Southwest > 2009 > ReviewTaken 2 July 2009 from Los Angeles, CA (Los Angeles International Airport) - LAX to San Jose, CA (San Jose International Airport) - SJCLAX-SJC, up and back same day. The morning departure was on an old 737-300 with dirty carpet, frayed upholstery and paint chips and scuff marks on the cabin and lavatory walls. Service, however, was outstanding and the flight was bang on time. The late afternoon return departure was on a newer 737-700. The flight left on time but was delayed 10-15 min by heavy traffic at LAX. The FA's were outstanding and kept good cheer despite the flight being 100% full. Southwest doesn't offer satelite TV or radio, food for sale, or seats with added legroom for an upgrade fee, but the level of service is more than adequate for the short flights they specialize in and loads better than the "legacy" carriers. In all my years of flying I've never had a bad experience with them and will continue using them as my preferred airline for short regional trips. | ||
