I found Air Canada provided a very good trip. Both of our flights were right on time, departing exactly when they were supposed to. The online baggage drop-off was quick enough. Security that early in the morning, while in Calgary was a breeze. We sat comfortably at the Tim Hortons in the airport as it was completely empty save for a few cleaning staff and the Tim's operator. We enjoyed our food and drink and proceeded through security. We had a long wait at the gate, and then finally: boarding. Boarding was quick as we were near the rear of the aircraft. I was expecting to be greeted by a newly refurbished Air Canada "XM" plane with new seats and seat-back entertainment systems however this was one of the three 767s Air Canada keeps without this important refresh. However, the seats were comfortable, the aircraft was very clean and I had plenty of leg room, and in my opinion the old green seats are more comfortable because of the adjustable headrests.

The mainscreen entertainment system was a disappointment. I would have loved the new system, but it had a main screen. It did not function well. It played the safety video, and one movie, and then the first bit of another movie and then it just quit. On the way back, it worked for the whole flight.

The flight crew was great. They were friendly and apologetic about the issue with the IFE and always helpful and pleasant.

The buy-on-board Second Cup stuff was pretty good, but not great. I'd recommend eating as much at the airport Tim's as you can.

This year for our vacation, we're treating ourselves to AC Executive Class. It should be interesting to see what that's like on our flight to Cuba! I'm excited to be flying Executive and happy to fly Air Canada once again. Excellent airline.
