Taken 16 August 2009 from Leeds/Bradford - LBA to Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands - PMI

We arrived at Palma airport to find the biggest line of people waiting to check in at the Jet2 desks. We had booked in online so went to baggage drop lane, and were done in less than a minute of walking up to desk.

Security was another story. 2 stations opened out of 6. It took 40 minutes to get through. We went to Terminal A and Gate A11. No sign of any aircraft at all. 15 minutes after we should have boarded, we were called and put on a bus, and were driven to a very remote part of the airport and started boarding. The only problem was they were using 1 bus only; it took an age. Also a major problem occurred on boarding with more than 30 people; all seemed to have each other's seats. (even the cabin crew didn't seem to know what was happening). It took an announcement from the pilot to sit in the seat indicated on your boarding card to restore order.

We got underway approx 90 minutes behind schedule. The plane was clean but old and tired looking. Cabin crew were hard working and cheerful, providing a good service.

The only problem came from a very large family who were seated around the plane and wanted to stand in the aisle talking to each other, hindering the cabin crew from their duties and other passengers from using the toilets.

We landed 80 minutes behind schedule and cleared the airport within 30 minutes of landing.
